This policy explains the cookies and similar tools used on bellevueinjurylawyer.com, run by R Martin Law Group, P.S. It adds detail to our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. “Local storage” is a similar tool that keeps data in your browser. Some are set by the site you visit (first-party). Others are set by another company whose service the page uses (third-party).
Our approach
- We keep tracking to a minimum. We don’t use Google Analytics or social media tracking pixels.
- We use one advertising tool: Google Ads conversion measurement, which tells us whether an ad click led to a call or a case review request.
- Other cookies come from Google services that run parts of the page: spam protection on our forms and chat, and the maps on our contact page.
Cookies and storage on this website
| Name | Set by | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| _gcl_au | This site (Google Ads Conversion Linker) | Remembers that you arrived from a Google ad, so we can tell whether the ad led to an inquiry | 90 days |
| Google advertising cookies (for example, on google.com) | Measure ad clicks and conversions, under Google’s own policies | Set by Google | |
| _GRECAPTCHA | Google (reCAPTCHA) | Tells people from bots when you use a form or the chat | Up to 6 months |
| Google Maps cookies (for example, NID) | Set when the maps on our contact page load | Set by Google | |
| rml_chat (local storage) | This site | Keeps your chat conversation so it can pick up where you left off | 7 days |
| rml_chat_teaser_off (local storage) | This site | Remembers that you closed the chat greeting, so it stays hidden | 1 day |
| rml_bview (local storage) | This site | Remembers list or grid view on the blog | Until you clear it |
| wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_* | This site | Keep our staff signed in to the website admin. Not set for visitors | Session or up to 14 days |
Two more services receive basic information when a page loads, without setting cookies for visitors on our site: WordPress.com (Jetpack Stats), which counts page visits, and Google, which serves reviewer photos on our reviews page.
How to control cookies
- Your browser: every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and site data in its settings. Blocking them won’t stop our pages from working, but the chat may not remember your conversation.
- Google ads: you can manage how Google uses data for ads at My Ad Center.
- Industry opt-outs: you can opt out of interest-based ads from many companies at the Digital Advertising Alliance.
Do Not Track
There’s no common standard for browser “Do Not Track” signals, so our website doesn’t respond to them.
