Serious injuries need a plan that fits your life
Our goal is the best possible result, as soon as possible. But every client’s situation is different. Some people can wait years for a case to finish. Others can’t, because of bills, work, or family needs.
Rich works with you directly to choose a plan. The aim is the most money for your injuries, on a timeline that fits your life. And the person planning your case is a trial lawyer, Rich Martin, not a paralegal or a legal assistant.
Client stories
Phill B.: highway crash, torn shoulder
Phill was hurt in a crash on the highway. He suffered a torn shoulder labrum (a SLAP tear). His injury was serious, and his case was ready for trial. Both the other driver’s insurance company and Phill’s own underinsured motorist (UIM) insurer paid their full policy limits. The total settlement was in the mid six figures.
Olivia L.: dental injuries on a dangerous property
Olivia suffered dental injuries because of a hazard on someone else’s property (an attractive nuisance claim). We settled her claim for a low six-figure amount. Learn more about premises and slip and fall cases.

Questions about case value and settlements
How much is my case worth?
It depends on your injuries, your medical bills and lost pay, how the injury changes your life, who was at fault, and how much insurance is available. The results on this page show how other cases ended. They don't predict yours. Rich can give you an honest view once he knows the facts.
What does "policy limits" mean?
It's the most an insurance policy will pay on a claim. Many results on this page are policy-limits settlements, which means the insurer paid everything the policy allowed. When one policy isn't enough, other coverage may help, such as your own underinsured motorist (UIM) coverage.
What's the difference between a verdict, an arbitration award, and a settlement?
A jury decides a verdict at trial. A neutral arbitrator decides an arbitration award outside of court. A settlement is an agreement with the insurance company, often reached in mediation. You decide whether to accept a settlement offer.
How long does it take to settle an injury case?
Many cases settle after medical treatment is finished, when the full cost of the injury is known. Cases that go to trial take longer. Rich will talk with you about timing and what fits your needs.
What does No Win, No Fee mean?
You pay nothing up front. Our fee comes out of the money we win for you. No hourly bills. No retainer. If we don't win, you owe us nothing. Not even the case costs.
